Thrive Street Living Real Estate Internship

Job Description: Our family-owned real estate company (located in Omaha, NE) has a part-time, paid real estate internship available. This internship will have components of real estate property management, brokerage, and investments. Work will be in conjunction with the Thrive Street Living (www.ThriveStreetLiving.com) office management team to provide resident relations, leasing support, accounting, marketing strategy & execution, and process and procedure enhancements. Further work on the brokerage side of the business (Thrive Street Real Estate- www.ThriveStreetRE.com) will entail shadowing brokers on real estate transactions and showings.

Company Background:  JGC Investments, LLC owns two businesses: Thrive Street Living and Thrive Street Real Estate. Thrive Street Living is a family-owned real estate investment and management company with commercial and residential units located across the Omaha metropolitan community area.  Thrive Street Real Estate is a full-service real estate brokerage offering a suite of services including residential and commercial brokerage and investment consulting.

Tasks:

  • Resident Relations: Maintain positive resident relations with potential, new, and existing tenants. Draft tenant communications. Help to build a positive image and culture at JGC Investments properties.  
  • Leasing: Ensure timely lead processing including qualification pre-screening, application processing, showing coordination/completion, and updating current tenant occupant information. Enforce lease regulations and company policies, and deliver notices to various properties.
  • Brokerage: Shadow brokers on real estate transactions and showings.
  • Administrative: Answers phones, respond to electronic leads, create electronic checklist forms, and shadow leadership in various areas of interest in the company.
  • Marketing: Effectively keeps vacancy listings online clean, accurate and up to date. Ensures electronic campaigns are accurate and collaborates with leadership for a long-term marketing plan. Also completes competitive intelligence research.
  • Accounting:  Assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collection records. Learn proficiency in property management software.

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Candidate must be enrolled for a associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in Business, preferably Real Estate studies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Must be a highly accountable and motivated self-starter with the ability to successfully maneuver in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Computer literacy is a must - especially Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Any type of website content management or developer skills are preferred.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation.

Hours & Pay:  10 – 20 hours per week at $12/hour
